I Just Heard From God Today And He Said,
"Choose you this day whom you will serve ... but as for me
and my, house, we will serve the Lord."
Joshua 24:15
Choices! We make them everyday. Some are of minimal importance but some can have catastrophic repercussion. We choose to ignore the warnings of the Doctor when he says lose weight. In doing so we open the door for all kinds of physical problems. We ignore traffic signs weaving in and out on major thoroughfares. In doing so we open the door for a serious probably fatal accident! Choices are important!

Noah's generation chose to ignore the warnings of immanent judgment. Repeatedly they turned a deaf ear to Noah's preaching regarding a flood of catastrophic proportions. It wasn't until the first drops of rain began to fall that they clamored to get on board the ark. It was too late as the door was shut!

The populace of Sodom & Gomorrah lustfully surrounded Lot's house seeking to 'know' the angelic visitors. They chose to pursue their own agenda in spite of the threat of judgment. Little did they realize that they choice would prove disastrous! They are suddenly stricken with blindness. Groping in the darkness they stumbled about until fire and brimstone falls from heaven and consumes them all! Choices are important.

In the waning days of Joshua's ministry he stands on the desert floor to warn the Israelites of the choices. Their repeatedly involvement with false gods had created all the dilemmas facing them! Joshua places the issues squarely before them. It is now or never. To their everlasting credit they commit themselves to follow the Lord wholeheartedly! It was their choice! It is ours too! Choices are important. Why not make yours to follow the Lord.
